Servers/Storage/Hypervisor Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Servers/Storage/Hypervisor Engineer to manage and support our server infrastructure, including traditional and hyper-converged (HCI) clusters. This role requires deep expertise in VMware, PRoxmox, and Windows Server environments, with a focus on daily operational support and optimization. Experience with Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain traditional and HCI server clusters to ensure high availability and performance.
• Provide daily operational support for Windows Server virtual machines hosted on VMware and Proxmox environments.
• Manage and optimize VMware-based virtualization platforms, including Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE).
• Troubleshoot and resolve server, storage, and hypervisor-related issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system upgrades as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
• Maintain documentation, best practices, and security compliance for server and virtualization infrastructure.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) and/or Proxmox hypervisor environments.
• Expertise in traditional server clusters and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration in a virtualized environment.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE) and cloud-based virtualization solutions.
• Solid understanding of storage technologies (SAN, NAS, vSAN, etc.) and networking concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues efficiently.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) are a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Microsoft Certified, Proxmox VE Certification) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience working in enterprise data center environments.
