Through the Lens of 2020

It has been a challenging 2020 to say the least, many lives have been lost due to the pandemic which by far outweighs economic losses, businesses have gone under or are barely surviving, a divisive political climate in the US remains adding to uncertainty and the end of the pandemic still seems far out and yet, human resiliency and ingenuity have been the big winners! Businesses have pivoted and found ways to still generate revenue, new ways of getting work done have surfaced, remote work for instance is now the norm and widely accepted, and new business opportunities have emerged amongst the rubble.

We at SoftwareCraft and everyone in the Software Engineering, Development and Technology Consulting space have been very lucky in that our industry is still in high demand and even growing as businesses scramble to implement automated processes or deploy software on the cloud to help them communicate better with customers or simply to make day to day operations run more efficiently and with less manual input. Let’s take these new opportunities to heart, let’s always strive to implement the best and more cost effective and intelligent architecture for the client’s need, let’s be smart about engineering resource allocation, let’s think ahead and recommend scalable and reusable solutions, in the end our client’s success will most definitely translate to our own success.

We are also thankful to our current and past customers and business partners for trusting in our work and to the members of our development teams for their excellence and pride in the work they do. The end of the year is rapidly approaching, 2021 promises to be a year with still many challenges but I am certain it will also be a year of even more opportunities…

I will leave you with these thoughts, what do you think is the single technology having the biggest growth in 2021? And what business opportunity you see as most overlooked for next year? What company name will we be talking about the most by the end of 2021? Will it be the usual big names or is there a startup out there with enough potential to begin to transform the technology landscape?
